AdSense Tips - Are You Maximizing Your CTR?

Placement

The placement of your AdSense ads will be the deciding factor to your AdSense CTR. You might be making under $2 for your eCPM, but with a simple switch of your placement of ads, you could increase your earnings to over $5 eCPM (cost per thousand impressions).

The placement of your AdSense ads should be in highly viewed sections of your website/blog. Top of sidebars, bottom of articles, beside videos, or even embedded within the body of your online content are the best places to embed your AdSense Ad Units.

Color

Color coordinating your AdSense ads will be another big factor to your AdSense success. Don't play around with different colors to make it accent your website/blog. Stick to the exact same colors of your site. Don't think adding a cool background color or a bright text color is good, it's not. You must blend your AdSense ads in with the content of your ads. If you have black text, green links, and white background on your website, use those exact same colors for your AdSense Ad Units or AdSense Link Units.

Font

Changing the font is a new feature for AdSense optimization. There is nothing major to explain here, however, always stick to blending it with the theme of your site. If your site uses Arial, choose that font for your AdSense units.

Ad Size

Every site will be different; however, the top 3 units are the 250x300, 468x60, and the 160x600. Those units placed in the proper section of your site will help increase your CTR.
